A deacon's work is primarily administrative. He oversees the finances of the church, the maintenance of the building and the furniture as well as the secular needs of the members. Men holding the office of Pastors and Deacons, must be men of outstanding integrity, leadership, dependability and a glaring example in and outside of the church.

The gift and call to preach the gospel is not only relegated to the Pastor. A non office holder as well as an office holder, if so gifted by God the Holy Spirit, will be given the opportunity to exercise his gift as approved by the Pastors, and all concerned

A deacon must be the husband of but one wife and must manage his children and his household well. Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.
